I am nearing completion of a refit which included fitting seat boxes.
The old wooden seat has a central upright support the base of which sits in a socket on the floor.When fitting seat boxes you need to remove the socket or you will be forever tripping over it.First cut it away using a hacksaw and then grind the remaining glass away with a sanding disc in a grinder.Its best to put several layers of fibreglass over where it has been to strengthen it.

The above picture shows the boxes glassed in place with the swivel seat bases fitted.I then flow coat the boxes and seal the hole in the top where the expanding foam was poured in.
